An Evening with Bar Tradition — A Sapporo Master at Our Bar Lounge

For two exclusive evenings—Saturday, 25 July and Friday, 7 August 2026—Hotel Sosei Sapporo – MGallery Collection is delighted to welcome Michihiro Watabe, owner and master bartender of the acclaimed Susukino bar Bar Tradition, as our Guest Mixologist. An award-winning bartender, Watabe will craft his signature cocktails and seasonal fresh-fruit creations live, one glass at a time, right before your eyes.

Live Mixology by a Sapporo Master

On each of the two evenings, Michihiro Watabe will take his place behind the counter at our Bar Lounge. Savour the distinctive creations of Bar Tradition — including “Tradition,” his award-winning brandy-based competition cocktail; the “Sanshō & Cardamom Spiced Gin & Tonic”; and the smoke-kissed “Smoked Boulevardier” — each mixed before your eyes. The quiet rhythm of ice and shaker, the rising aromas, and the curling smoke create a multisensory hour of mixology to be savoured.

Guest Mixologist — Michihiro Watabe

Owner-bartender of “Bar Tradition” (Susukino, Sapporo).

After graduating from college in 1998, he honed his craft at the Ishigaki ANA Resort and the main bar of Keio Plaza Hotel Sapporo, among others, before opening “Bar Tradition” in 2015.
